This Supernatural Story

The acclaimed director pushes his directorial skills through this clever ghostly tale captured wholly from the viewpoint of a ghost. As a family featuring mother Rebekah and her distressed teen Chloe moves into their fresh home, the lens – as the unseen entity – follows them around. This Self-Referential Film

This Creepy Thriller

The director's contained scarefest holds up well without requiring a sequel. Taking place in 1978 Denver, multiple disappearances has left the youth anxious. Yet the old telephone mounted nearby continues to ring, with spooky callers providing assistance, as the intuitive nightmares from his sibling Gwen could save him. A solid creepfest. Saturday 11 October, 10.50pm, on Film4

The Eyes of Tammy Faye

In the battle between faith and wealth, the victory is clear for Mammon in this director's brilliantly over-the-top biopic of the disgraced religious broadcaster and her felon spouse. The actor acts as the greedy Jim, who states at the beginning, “God does not want us to be poor,”. The couple begin capitalizing on the nation's Christian beliefs. It's a riot of bad interior design, bad makeup and hypocrisy, though Chastain manages to show Tammy Faye with compassion. Tuesday 14 October, early morning, Film4

This Espionage Thriller

This period's additional entry from Steven Soderbergh is a spy mystery as sharp similar to the collars worn by the actor's British agent. Both actors are masters of calm composure, resulting in an engaging mind game of deception or honesty takes place. Tom Burke, Regé-Jean Page, Naomie Harris and Marisa Abela participate the clever spy entertainment. October 17th, various showings, Sky Cinema
